Talentendag is looking for volunteers!
The Talentendag project arised from the tragedy of two African youngsters who, out of boredom, took a swim in the Scheldt on July 29th of 2001 and unfortunately drowned (Merveille Antonio 7 years old, Vedrine Vambanu 10 years old). If these youngsters would have had a hobby, maybe this tragedy could have been prevented. This incited non-profit group Mwinda Kitoko to create a project called "Talentendag". Herewith youngsters of principally African origin get the opportunity to share their hobbies and talents, not only with each other, but also with the outside world. The most diversified forms of art and culture are gathered on one night, in front of a big audience. The 10th edition of Talentendag will take place on Saturday January 17th of 2015 at Bozar Brussels, and this cannot pass us by unnoticed!
